Bottle of Tears

Our girls have been through some hard things lately and we wanted to remind them of where they could find their comfort. We gave them a present of these bottles tied with gold and silver ribbon. The inspiration for these came from a painting that my sister-in-law created. We gave it to them in hopes that they would always remember the lesson that God knows of our suffering and He wants to use it to refine us. Along with the bottles I printed the accompanying Bible verses on a little card. We gave them to the girls on the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles.

"You have taken into account my wanderings;
Put my tears in Your bottle. Are they not in Your book?"
Psalms 55:8

"And I will bring the third part through the fire,
Refine them as silver is refined,
And test them as gold is tested.
They will call on my name,
And I will answer them;
I will say, "They are My people,"
And they will say, "The Lord is my God."
Zechariah 13:9

I just love these inspirational ideas you have! I truly admire your heart for the Lord and instilling that DEEPLY into your children. What a seemingly small material thing but if that reminds them of the tremendous ONE whose comfort it symbolizes each time they see that bottle --- I think I'll just make myself one. We all do need to be reminded. Great idea!

This is a beautiful idea! I may have to borrow it to encourage a young lady at church.

Hey Incredible Ectors,
I thought we were the only weird gentiles who did all the Jewish feats! That's so great that there are others! Still envy your parasailing... The Stoyeffs asked for prayer for you at the last H20. Don't know the details, but praying for you.
