Southern Kids Enjoying the Snow

Early this morning we received what I consider to be a pathetic amount of snow. But then, I grew up in Michigan. My kids, however, rarely get to play in it unless we drive about an hour and a half to the mountains. So this was a treat today, to wake up and see snow in their own yard. All of our sleds are over the hill at Mr. Potts' shop so, being the creative children they are, they improvised and sled down the hill in the canoe.

Hey,
YOu call that snow? I can't believe you got the huge canoe going with all you kids in it! Luke says "It's crazy that you got going, because pearlkeeper was in there." We have 3 inches here. I gloat. I'm a sinner, I know. Is that BLOCHhead in the tan jacket? Looking as chic as always...

Hey,
You tell Luke that they easily carried the canoe back up the hill with me riding IN IT!! (Not seriously :) Anyway, yes, whenever we get ANY snow it's big news and all us "old" kids even get out to play in it. 3 inches... SICK!!

Luke says "they could never carry you up the hill!"

Looks like our winter! Well, actually, we haven't even gotten that much. My kids got excited about sleet one day..pitiful.
I really wouldn't want too much of the white stuff...it could be a pain after awhile, I'm sure.
Love the pic!!!
